The project explores how these animals survive, interact and respond to changing conditions across the Arctic.
This chapter was filmed in Svalbard.
The project will continue across different regions, including Iceland and potentially northern Canada and Greenland.

Survival in a Seasonal World
Life in Svalbard is defined by extremes.
Long periods of darkness give way to continuous daylight, and food can remain scarce for much of the year.
Arctic foxes are built for this environment, with dense winter fur and highly efficient hunting strategies.
Every movement is shaped by the need to survive.
In the High Arctic, survival is not guaranteed.
This film follows Arctic foxes through one of the most demanding environments on Earth, shaped by cold, light and constant change.

About the Filmmaker
Magda Swiecka is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker focused on Arctic and alpine environments.
Her work explores animal behaviour, adaptation and the relationship between wildlife and changing ecosystems.
She is currently developing long-term projects across polar regions, with a particular focus on Arctic foxes, combining visual storytelling with field-based observation.
